National Technology Day -2010

Introduction

National  Technology Day is celebrated throughout the country on 11 may to mark three  important events that demonstrated India’s technological capability, namely the Pokhran Nuclear Tests, test flying of the first indigenous aircraft ‘Hansa-3’, and the test firing of the Trishul missile.All these very clearly demonstrated the strides being made by the country in developing self reliance in critical technological frontiers, enabling it to strengthen its democratic foundation, security and national interests. These along with other technological advancements especially information and communication, agriculture, biotechnology, space research, etc. are playing a major role in the development of India economy, helping to address the problems of poverty and deprivation. The success of Chandrayan is another major milestone in technological progress demonstrating India’s capacity in space technologies. As such India has some of the most sophisticated remote sensing systems in the world with a wide range of applications.

To commemorate this occasion, it is proposed to organize a seminar ’Technalia-10’ in association with College of Engineering, Karunagppally (Managed By IHRD)

Schedule

• Registration is compulsory for participation.
• College bus will be available from Karunagappally bus station at 9AM.
• Uniforms are compulsory for all students  who are attending the seminar.
• Lunch will be provided for all the participants.

Inauguration of the association of Computer Science and Information Technology students and faculties of College of Engineering,Karunagappally will be on 8th February 2010.

Inaugural ceremony and Seminars will be conducted in the seminar hall from 9:30 AM on 8th February.
